When Laura and Alistar first wrote to us sharing details of their wedding day we were so hooked! We loved how excited they were, letting us in on some details of what they had planned so far for their Blenheim wedding They were so ecstatic to be sharing a slice of Marlborough with their family and friends, with a gorgeous outdoor wedding ceremony to be held amongst the rose garden’s on their friend’s private estate.

Their day was centred around the community of friends and family that surrounded the couple, having everyone come together to celebrate their love was such a cool experience, one of their friends even performed a fun bagpipe send-off honouring the families heritage as Laura and Alistar walk down the aisle for the first time as husband and wife. Family is huge to them and we loved how Laura included Alistar’s son in the ceremony by gifting him and Alistar their very own pounamu necklaces as a beautiful keepsake treasure for years to come.

Just ahead of what was the most amazing golden sunset in Blenheim which we experienced from the hills looking out over wine country, Alistar, Laura and their bridal party set up a small picnic and took in the views and took a minute or two to let everything sink in, we love the little bit of downtime where the couple could really snuggle up together and have some memories captured.

The day of celebration turned into a night of fun at Marlborough’s The Winery (The Old Montana Estate) set in the heart of wine country. Beautifully decorated with the yummiest food, great company and some fun speeches keeping the night buzzing Laura and Alistar’s plan of a fun wedding was a huge success and so much fun with the couple lost last seen somewhere on the D-floor!
