Brooke and Caitlin’s Picton Wedding

Was it by chance or fate? You be the judge, but with both Caitlin and Brookes's summer holidays being at their family baches in the same bay as one another at Double Cove in Queen Charlotte Sounds, it really was only a matter of time before Brooke set his eyes firmly on the gorgeous Caitlin. Many holidays went by and after a few failed attempts by both parties to somehow make an excuse to start a conversation with one another (and maybe after some teasing by their friends) these two finally met and we assume it went well because here we are capturing their Marlborough wedding ceremony back where it all started, in Queen Charlotte Sounds on the jetty of Caitlins parents family bach! I mean how cute is this story!?

  • Caitlin and Brooke chartered a private charter boat from Picton harbour to Double Cove so their guests could take the gorgeous Queen Charlotte Sounds views and literally party their way across to their Queen Charlotte wedding ceremony in Double Cove. Their Marlborough wedding ceremony was held oceanside on the wooden jetty with views looking out across to Picton Harbour. The couple tied the knot in an intimate and fun wedding ceremony, surprising guests by having their friend, bridesmaid and wedding celebrant Hannah Duber officiate at their wedding.

After their wedding ceremony, Caitlin and Brook had a brief moment alone to take in the just married feels by paddling their paddleboat around the bay before hoping abord the charter boat with their guests where they partied their way across to Queen Charlotte Yacht Club for the wedding reception

With a continuous theme of ocean side views, their wedding reception held at the Queen Charlotte Yacht Club was the perfect venue to celebrate two people who fell in love by the ocean. This venue is honestly stunning and one of our new favourite venues! Before the couple hit the dance floor to the band Dangerbaby the couple endured some hilarious speeches which were honestly made the night before hitting that d-floor with their family and friends to celebrate and dance the night away!
